Students visit the school library to borrow books once a week. Kindergarten students may borrow one book per week. Students in Grade 1 and Grade 2 borrow two books per week and if needed, one additional book for class research. PreK students will visit the library for stories and literacy activities. Students may renew their library books for an additional week and or longer if needed. There is a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction texts that are age and reading level appropriate for all students.
We make the best effort to ensure that the library collection offers books and resources on different subjects and interests. One practice in the classroom and the school library is finding "Just Right Books" -- books that are not too hard, not too easy, but just right! As students progress in their reading abilities, their Just Right books change throughout the school year and it is a great thing to experience!
We also have a teacher resource section for our staff to use in curriculum planning, lessons and classroom management.

Each week, students will work in the computer lab to learn and practice using a keyboard, parts of a computer, word processing, coding and the basics of navigating the Internet and digital citizenship.
The Computer Lab at Woodland School has desktop computers, a color printer and an interactive projector where teachers and students can interact and collaborate.
